There are many ways to incorporate these items in and out of our home. We can have candle holders in the house or on the patio for the scent's of fall. Try putting flowering plants in pots or planters on the patio or the side of walkways for adding color. You can also cut the flowers and bring them in the house and display them in vases for adding color and aroma to any room. Finding different color leaves and arranging them in a basket would look nice as a centerpiece on the dining room table. The best way to arrange the leaves would be by color and size like you do for flowers. Another idea for the basket would be to use different types, sizes and colors of gourds arranged in the basket with some leaves for accent. If you have fir trees nearby you may be able to find some pine cones to use in your ideas.
Flowers! Last, but definitely NOT least, is updating your rooms with fall flowers. Fresh flowers add life to any room, but by bringing in fall bouquets you are bringing the season indoors in new ways with every new bunch of flowers. Don't forget your bathrooms and entryways, where a small group of flowers can go a long way.
With the tips provided here you should have a great start on making over your home for the fall season and holidays ahead. Even just a few small changes, such as adding some new pillows, or introducing a fresh accent can transform a room. With Halloween just around the corner, get a jump start on creating inviting tabletops, welcoming seating groupings, and heart-warming picture collages, which will carry you through Thanksgiving and the holidays beyond.
