Fiberfill is also pretty easy to use, even though sometimes it just doesn't want to work. Basically it's what you commonly think of as stuffing; the stuff that they put inside stuffed animals and pillows. It's pros contain that it's inexpensive and can be found almost anywhere. Those are two very important features. The one con that I can think of off the top of my head is that it's sometimes hard to get it stuffed in evenly. It's sometimes thinner in a certain place than it is in the rest of the pillow. Or several lumps and bumps throughout. But practice does make better, that's for sure. You can also control the firmness of the pillow. That's another pro. Plus, you can make the pillows in absolutely any size you want. That's just that much more control. With a form, you can only make a pillow in the sizes that they offer the form.
Boyfriend pillows are available only in Japan, and are shaped like a pair of arms. The person curls up with it and it is said to be both comfortable and comforting because it is like a boyfriend who can never leave you. Bed pillows will eventually become soiled, through the accumulation of sweat and potentially saliva and of human skin cells. Dust mites live in pillows, feeding on the skin cells that gather and thus 10% of the weight of a two year old pillow may be dust mites, dust mite feces and dead mites.
So now that we've considered the different types of stuffing for pillows, let's get down to business and do the actual preparation and sewing part. For preparation, let's collect the materials first. Since the pillow is such a simple project, not many materials are required. Start off with the fabric for the pillow, and your choice of a form or fiberfill. Then get some matching thread, some hand needles and a couple of pins, scissors, and perhaps something to mark your fabric with.
