There are many ways to incorporate these items in and out of our home. We can have candle holders in the house or on the patio for the scent's of fall. Try putting flowering plants in pots or planters on the patio or the side of walkways for adding color. You can also cut the flowers and bring them in the house and display them in vases for adding color and aroma to any room. Finding different color leaves and arranging them in a basket would look nice as a centerpiece on the dining room table. The best way to arrange the leaves would be by color and size like you do for flowers. Another idea for the basket would be to use different types, sizes and colors of gourds arranged in the basket with some leaves for accent. If you have fir trees nearby you may be able to find some pine cones to use in your ideas.
Most people keep back a fall collection of decor that they place around their home in order to create a fall look and feel in their room. It can be Halloween decorations or Thanksgiving decor that usually consists of pumpkins, brown, yellow, orange, and red leaves, as well as cornucopia of fruits. Before you begin digging out the decor from last year, consider these possibilities.
Paint one wall in a fall accent color, which will dramatically change the look of a room for a minimal time commitment and cost. Choose candles in glorious autumn scents. Try the following scents: apple cider, cinnamon, pine, nutmeg and pumpkin spice. Not only will the candles add a warm glow to match the warm fall colors, but they will also fill your home with distinctive aromas of the season.
