First off, decide what size you'd like your pillow to be. Let's just say, for the purposes of an example, that I wanted to make a throw pillow that's seven inches square. Now you need to add a half inch to each side (in other words, a whole inch.) That's the size you'll end up cutting your fabric. Mine will end up being eight inches. That gives you enough room to sew around the edges. Cut two pieces of fabric in this size, then place the two right sides together. Pin one side, making sure that the two pieces are secure. Then, using a basic running stitch, sew to the other end one half inch from the edge. Backstitch a few times before ending with a knot. Continue this around two of the other sides, leaving one side open.
The decorative pillows are like jewels in your house. Your decoration will highlight the sharp accents and colors. The textures of the distinct elements make your whole place very inviting and comfortable. The textured pillows with earth colors can enhance the looks of your sofa. Using beads and satin give excitement to your traditional pieces. You are giving your visitors what it is like to be hospitable by giving them the welcoming beauty of your home decorations.
Body pillows are far longer-as much as the height of an adult. They may be straight or these pillows may be 'C' shaped and are used for both head and neck at one end and knees at the bottom as the person almost hugs the pillow. Body pillows are popular with pregnant women. Throw pillows, also known as throw cushions are square pillows that may be used to support the body on a sofa. They may also be decorative pillows that are used simply for looks on a bed or sofa and then removed before actually using the furniture.
