A wreath was once hard to get a hold of and when you did, they were expensive but today, you can make your own wreath using different material and make it for a fraction of the price. You can start gathering fall items around the stores or in your own back yard. Twigs, acorns, and different colored leaves are just a few of the many different items you can use in your wreath. You can make it out of straw and wrap a ribbon around it or you can use artificial flowers, like mums. These are absolutely beautiful during the fall season. They come in an array of colors ad look great in barrels, baskets, or wreaths.
Also with this time of year are the new candle scents that are being introduced. Some of the scents I have seen are Autumn in the Park, Crisp Morning Air, Sweater Weather, Marshmallow Fireside, Pumpkin Pit Stop and Apple Tree Picnic. We cannot forget the flowers that bloom in the fall. These perennials are Aster, Red Spider Lily, Fall Crocus and Toad Lily and will be back year after year for our pleasure and enjoyment. Not to mention their decorative properties.
Collect natural items from the great outdoors to use as accent pieces. Pine cones, corn stalks, acorns and moss can be combined to create a magnificent centerpiece for your dining room or kitchen table. You can arrange these same items in a vase for a beautiful fall accessory for the living room. Other items from nature to consider include: ornamental grasses, pomegranates, squash, acorns and pumpkins. Coasters made from trees, accessories decorated with twine and other woodsy accent pieces are also perfect for the season.
